The horses in the Great Geldings program spend anywhere from one to two years transitioning from track life to ranch life. Many hours of rehab and training go into each horse and we strive to develop them for their best suited career...be that in ranch riding, rodeo, dressage or eventing!
Most of our finished geldings are priced from $5,000 to $20,000 or more. Pricing reflects the time we have in each horse, as well as their unique skill set and discipline aptitude. We normally will not offer a horse for sale until they have completed one full branding and gathering season on the ranch. Those 12 hour days tell us a lot about what a horse is capable of and it is important to us to represent horses in the most honest manner possible.
Please contact us directly about the horse you are interested in and we would be happy to discuss it with you. We can be reached at horsecreektb@gmail.com or by phone at 605-569-2249.
2011 Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding
16.1 hands
Korea's Champion Two-Year-Old in 2011 and the winner of the first leg of their Triple Crown the following year, Doc is the epitome of class. There is no horse that works harder or gives more than he does while at the same time being trainable, calm and super fun to ride. A foxhunter's delight! Currently gaining experience in the field with Live Oak Hounds. Located in Thomasville, GA.
2010 Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding
15.2 1/2 hands
Here's a nice, brave horse that can ride off alone or go in a crowd. He has some English show experience on the flat and shows jumping potential for the rider wanting to dabble in multiple disciplines. Added to the outside mileage he's been getting on the ranch, this could make a nice field hunter for a rider seeking a horse under sixteen hands.
2013 Bay Thoroughbred Gelding
15.2 hands
This son of Distorted Humor out of an A.P. Indy mare was lightly raced, and has stolen our hearts with his bravery out in the rough country. He's put in some big days on rides gathering cattle, putting the older horses to shame. He'd make a great hunt mount and is small enough for the ladies. Here's another one that thrives on attention, but isn't a sissy when it's time to get to work.
