The Retired Racehorse Training Project (RRTP) Thoroughbred Makeover and Symposium features 26 trainers from across the US who will each train a Thoroughbred ex-racehorse throughout the summer in preparation for a public appearance at the RRTP Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium on October 5 and 6 at Pimlico Racecourse in Baltimore, MD.

Horse Creek Thoroughbreds and the Gate to Great Program were chosen as one of the elite 26. Our head trainer, Dale Simanton, will be taking our selected horse, Drake’s Dancer, through our unique course of training that will prepare him for a second career as a ranch and roping horse. During the summer months, on our website and at the live demonstation in Baltimore, Dale and Drake’s Dancer will showcase the off -track Thoroughbred as the ideal mount for ranch work, something we have been doing for decades. We are very excited to be able to do this on the national stage!
